The U.S. Embassy will be hosting a voting event on Saturday, October 13 from 11am to 3pm to make voting easier and more convenient for U.S. citizens in Korea. The event will be held at the American Center Korea in Yongsan-gu near the Sookmyung and Samgakji metro stations (see attached map). Embassy staff will be available to assist U.S. citizens cast their absentee ballots. The ballots will be collected by staff, date-marked and forwarded to the appropriate state election agency at no cost to the voter.
Remember: voting is a responsibility and privilege for all American citizens and especially meaningful in this hotly contested general election with historical ramifications. Make sure your voice is heard! Continue reading

Applicants will have to make arrangements to pick up passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad at Yongsan or the Embassy in Seoul. There is no option for delivery at Camp Casey.

- Embassy officers assist U.S. voters to register and request absentee ballots on February 25, 2012 at Tartine Bakery & Cafe, Seoul.
On February 25, 2012 the U.S. Embassy held an event for U.S. overseas voters at Tartine Bakery & Cafe in Itaewon, Seoul. Over 100 people came out to ask questions about registering to vote from overseas and absentee balloting, and we ended up with a box chock full of voter registration forms that were sent to local U.S. voting officials.
